Warriors of Christ
Purpose
The Warriors of Christ program exists to expand opportunities for foster children and their parents to establish a closer relationship with God. By providing God-centered opportunities through nature coordinated by seasoned Christians, this program can support the further development of personal faith.
Values
The values of Warriors of Christ are important to Christian development. They include honesty, boldness, freedom, trust, team-spirit, modesty, and responsibility. By building an appreciation of God’s glory, opportunities in the natural environment can provide mindfulness of God’s presence. While these experiences alone will not teach everything needed to know about Him, the support of trained volunteers who are seasoned Christians can use the environment to help participants envision a richer Christian life. Embedding Christian support and teaching into experiences in natural settings can strengthen participants’ connections to increasing faith and knowledge of God.
Our Story
In 2020 my wife and I were blessed with the ability to purchase a small ski boat at an affordable price to us. Before we ever took it out for the first time The Holy Spirit gave me a vision and a new calling while I slept. That vision and calling was to use the boat to bless foster and adopt families by giving them an unforgettable experience at the lake providing boating, food and fun.
Growing year after year to present, we now have teamed up with Chosen Ones under their 501c3 as a project to not only host what we call “Boat Day” but are now planning other events such as camping trips and fishing days and praying to evolve into other fun activities God willing.
During our activities, my personal goal is to teach these deserving children and parents about the outdoors. To recognize all of its beauty and how God intended for us to use it for our benefit and how to preserve it for generations to come.
